Most people spend decades building a digital life and leave it entirely unplanned. We think that should be as unusual as leaving a house or savings account unplanned for — and just as easy to fix.
In one sentence
We want digital legacy planning to be a normal, practical part of getting your affairs in order in Ireland — something anyone can start for free in five minutes, not a problem only lawyers or technologists can solve.
Why this needs to exist
Irish law hasn't caught up with digital life. Your will covers your house and your savings without a second thought, but it says almost nothing useful about your Facebook account, your photos, or your passwords. Platforms are based in other jurisdictions, under their own rules, with no obligation to cooperate with an Irish grant of probate.
The result is that families are left piecing things together at the worst possible time: hunting for passwords, writing to foreign companies with a death certificate, waiting months for a reply that sometimes never comes. Almost none of this is necessary. Most of it can be prevented in under an hour, for free, if someone simply explains what to do.
That's the gap this guide fills.

Plain English
No jargon without a definition next to it. Digital legacy planning is confusing enough without legal and technical language making it worse.
Ireland-specific
Generic advice written for a US audience doesn't hold up here. Every piece of legal context on this site is written against Irish law, the Succession Act, and GDPR.
Practical over dramatic
We use real numbers and real consequences, but the point is always the next concrete action, not the anxiety. You should leave every page knowing exactly what to do.
