This explains what we store in your browser, why, and how to control it. See also our Privacy Policy.
The short version
We don't use advertising or third-party tracking. We store two small things in your browser so the site works: your checklist progress and your cookie choice. If you accept usage statistics, we also store two random identifiers so our own statistics can count visits. Nothing is shared with anyone else.
What we currently store
Apart from the booking calendar's security cookies and the private statistics sign-in cookie, these are localStorage entries rather than traditional cookies: they live in your browser and are readable only by this site.

Usage statistics
We run our own usage statistics to understand how the guide is used. They work like this:
- Nothing is collected unless you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner
- If you choose "No thanks", the statistics code does not run at all
- The data stays on our own server. We use no advertising or third-party analytics services
- You can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page
- We ask again every 6 months
Separately, our server keeps anonymous counts of page loads for every visitor. These use nothing stored in your browser and no identifier, so they cannot be linked to you. Our Privacy Policy lists exactly what is recorded in both cases.
How to control or clear this storage
Because nothing here is essential to view the site's content, you can clear it at any time without losing access to the guide. You will just lose your saved checklist progress and be asked the cookie question again. To change only your statistics choice, use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page.
- Chrome / Edge: Site settings → Cookies and site data → Clear data for this site.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → find this site → Remove.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data.
